Sooo looking forward to this trip! Thanks Bruno for the offer of accommodation. I think most of the guys booked places a while ago already but if there are any late-comers looking for a place to crash we will contact you for more details of where your place is. It's a pity you can't make it down to join us :o(
Thanks Craig for all the like-local knowledge, impressive!

What time we leaving on Thursday Kingsley?

Nice Craig, thanks, I have printed it out and will hunt these spots down.  I think Beenie and myself will be having a PrawnalaChicken braai washed down with 2M and TT's.

Caught this guys posing at Fernando's last time.

Jeez Dean...   You really want the best price don't you?   :-)

There are actually 2 places.   If you are in d' Ouro, head over to the market.   Go past Fernando's and into the market.   Take the first alley left and all the way to the bottom corner (towards Pinto's).   There is a new shop called "Young shop".   That is definitely the cheapest.   R150 for 6l of Tipo....THAT is a whole lotta fun!!!!

If you are in Malongane there is a small shop opposite "cum to see" restaurant. They have it listed at R160 but you can negotiate.

As for the petrol that you mix with the Tipo...  I always take my own.   Much cheaper and it doesn't make you rust...

BTW.  Fernando's isn't worth visiting during the day.  They make the drinks really mild.   Only head that way if it is after dark.

As for 2M, I am not sure.  I only drink the Laurentina Preta (which is a mission to find).

As for the best Porchicken...  Florestina is excellent but don't drink there as they rip you off badly for dop.  Actually, just about all of their chow is excellent.   just remember the drinking bit...   Another alternative, if you are feeling like an excursion, is Sunset Shack which is a little north of the the Malongane market.

If you are wanting cheap prawns.   The guys selling prawns outside of the Fishmonger are good.    Don't pay more than R100/kg.   DONT USE THEIR SCALE!!!   Take your own to make sure the bastards dont crook you.   Only pull out the scale when you are about to pay...

Now most importantly Dean, don't let anyone else know about this...  ;-)

Cheerz!

Where's it Craig.  Don't hold out on us!!!   I am a tourist not a local like you.  I normally buy Tipo from Fernando, red premix like what I use in my lawnmower. 2M by day Tipo by night.  Whats the going rate on 2m and where do you get it on the cheapskate.  I am doing this trip on a minimal budget for reference.  No high rolling this time around.  I am camping at R80-00 a night, absolute prime local at Tandje Beach.  Where do I get a cheap lemon and herb chicken that's cooked to perfection, and big Langoostas.  Come Craig I'm not joking I really want to know???  It must be down one of those back alleys.

Oh that reminds me...  The cheapest place to buy Tipo...   Nah, I am sure you guys know already.   R150 for the case (12 plastic bottles) is what you should be paying.   Anything more than that and you are getting ripped off.   :-)

Surfboards always.  Our forecast has been a mess.  So maybe we get lucky but we have already made backup drinking plans.

Hey guys,

Just an update as I was in Malongane this last weekend.  We were forecast 4 solid days NE.   We got 4 hours on Saturday and the crappiest SW ever yesterday.   I will be holding thumbs for you next weekend, however, I do recommend you take surfboards.

Peoples I think we are in for some ferocious winds in Mozam, well at least as ferocias as Mozam can get this time of year.  The back of the windless season I think has been broke.  I put my money on good Nor Easters come Friday Saturday Sunday. And damn we need to run North it's snowing in Pinetown, No shit Marianhill got white thick yesterday.
