Mtwalume Christmas Special

Hey people, there is something amazing going on at Mtwalume. I have never seen such a thing in KZN. The recent heavy rains have broken through the sandbar dumbing sand on Elysium reef. It has formed…Continue

A few of us have spoken about having a Slider Jam contest.  We have two sliders and I have found a third mini one.  So there is one for just about everybody. Maybe let's start working towards making…Continue

Nice performances by the Umdloti Tribe and with some standout moves, this is how we roll in the sugar cane hills.  I see Mcgilly won then Rob, then my brother.  Next contest Cannon Rocks January 5th, looking to be a good one.  Check it out:    http://www.facebook.com/events/248994105157241/?ref=ts

Also a big well done to Dustin from Umdloti who dominated the Novice division with some impressive wave riding, giving him a wildcard into the Open's semi final heat.

I didn't have the balls to pull off the jibe tack in my heats as I wanted to avoid the contravercy, politics and confusion. We'll have to get hold of Bean with a camera to expose this superhuman feat. Sean Slimchance and B-dog Davidson had an awsome last heat together. B-dog getting barrelled and coming out and then getting barrelled again and dropping his kite in the impact zone while still riding in the green room. The Mutiny took a pounding but B-Dog was able to get it back up in the air and back to the beach for my heat next. Slim had some good waves and showed some solid top to bottom surfing. Apparently they made it through to the semi's after that heat but a small crowd of us had already set to hit the notorious Greenpoint downwind, which delivered around the point as usuall. A good day out at Scotty's. Well done Kingsley on your 3rd place in wave ski. By the way it was his first time riding this boat as he usually rides proper river boats. Impressive stuff.

Hey guys. Well done to everyone who competed, sounds like some of the boys from the hood did some really well, nice ones guys.

The Jibe tack, well that is a move of Mr Bean from way back in the day, it’s an amazing move but still not publicised? why I don’t know as it’s a sick move, I thinks it’s time for someone to capture it on film and expose this awesome move to the world....

Oh yes! Congrats on your placing Dean, not bad for a balie!

.....some goose news.  And oh I believe we are making a moovie on Ian Bean, something about a "one handed jibe tack." Heard rumors of this move at the contest but no one is talking.  Please let him know if he comes past the shop that we will be doing the paparazzi on him.

Yes us too. Mongoose will be in in the hood tomorrow so hopefully we will get 'the skinny'...

Congrats on your third place Dean! That's great!

Yeah, I would also like to know what happened. Haven't heard a thing about the event, which I find strange...

So what happened at the kite contest?  I saw a Mutiny flying while I was receiving my prizes for the paddling (I came third, top KZN rider, scored many gifts), so that must have been towards the main heats.    Who was that Mutinising the waves and who won the thing?  Give me some drama.......
