Hi guys & LynnI'm thinking about a trip to Mauritius in August next year. Anyone have any thoughts on the east of the island (e.g. Belle Mare) vs Le Morne if my focus is freestyle, not wave…Continue

Hi Henk

I hear what you are saying about the cable hurling you. They recently installed an additional 2-pylon cable system. Which you rent for like 10 minutes, then an operator manually controls the speed, pulling you as if you were behind a boat.

This is great for learning.

Hi Guys,

There is a whats app group for us inland kiters, most of us kite at Leewpan.

Always good to know if someone is going to be there if you dont want to kite alone. Specially during the week when not everyone can get away from that thing called work.

Inbox me your number and I will ask Andrew to add you

Hi Warrick and guys

Yes the cable park is a lot of fun,but it would be nice if they can stop it, and give someone that is doing it for the first time chance to be pulled slowly. even though I hurt myself the first time I was there it was still a lot of fun to face plant the entire day.hahaha

I also realized something yesterday. Our group (inland group) is the biggest of all the groups and I hope that it is a close knit group seeing as we have a disadvantage of not having nice winds and a biiiiiig body of water like the coast guys.

As I said to kevin. I am new to the sport but I really want to do it and if you experienced guys would just take a view minutes and include the newbies in your activities it would be great.

Hope to meet you guys soon

Welcome to gangsters paradise Kevin and if you know where Teazers Midrand is then you are a stones throw away from cable park

Hi guy's, I relocated from CT 6 months ago and have not kitesurfed since then. I traded my 7.5 for a 12m hoping it will be big enough. Let's hope we get some action soon.

Warren /Henk, the wake boarding sounds like an option to get the muscle memory going again. Do you have more details for this venue please?

Stoke City (cable wakeboard park) in Midrand have a half price special on Wednesdays and waive the entrance fee, so really fun to get there and ride from 5 til 6 midweek to keep the board skills up in summer.

Hi Henk/Kevin

This time of year is very quiet wind wise but the Inland Crew go to Leeupan most weekends once the SW starts blowing in autumn and winter. Will keep you posted.

Wakeboarding definitely helps practicing freestyle tricks during summer when there is little to no wind.

hi Kevin

are you also new to the sport? I bought my kite two years ago and still didn't get to surf.it seems the guys inland don't do much surfing or they just don't want newbies around. Don't know witch one it is.

They say wakeboarding helps with the balance and so on. There is a place in midrand where you can go.They pull you with a cable but trust me,its not that easy. last time I went I f***t up my knee. But it was grate fun trying to get on to the board
