Hey people, there is something amazing going on at Mtwalume. I have never seen such a thing in KZN. The recent heavy rains have broken through the sandbar dumbing sand on Elysium reef. It has formed…Continue

A few of us have spoken about having a Slider Jam contest. We have two sliders and I have found a third mini one. So there is one for just about everybody. Maybe let's start working towards making…Continue

I have been sitting on these pictures for sometime and not gotten too excited about them as they were just one of many proposals for the old airport site. As of this weekend I got it from a good…Continue

Comment by Sean (Slimchance) Chester on April 25, 2012 at 9:50 Sorry dude, you know I like meatloaf and all the golden oldies...
Slim, your reply does raise a very good point. Nowadays, just about anyone can load Whatsapp on their phones (unless you are like Mongoose who uses a Nokia 3210 from 1997...).
If anyone wants to be kept in the (kite)loop, they should all post their mobile numbers and we can add them to our notifications. Or not, and then land up kiting on their own somewhere...
As for Sting...he is a legend! Dont pick on a guys music dude or next time you can walk back to your car. Who is Rick Astley? :-B
Comment by Sean (Slimchance) Chester on April 24, 2012 at 15:52 Asslop, ym dirrexia si dab todya...ok I just wanted to call you Asslop! I also remember from a drunken night that you had bad BO....Nah, just kidding...you gotta love a guy who still listens to sting's more "introspective" stuff and rick astley ;) (Shit, stop me someone!)
I don't quite get the whole whattapp notification group thingymajingy - i see my name added but there's never any comments...help! That was a brilliant couple of DW's hey!
Comment by Dean Bottcher on April 24, 2012 at 15:46 Eish that was funny LOL..............ROTFLOL.
Hey Slim... Dont you like it when you add okes to the notifications so that they can come and enjoy the wind with you? And they just use your info and never reply? Ja, me neither. I guess Dean doesnt want to be our friend anymore... :-)
Dean, you missed some awesome riding with us dude. The first DW was super clean wind with beaut waves. The Ozones proved to be bloody resilient as they both landed in the drink (Alec doing his best to test the strength of the seams!). Glad you had a good time though.
Oh and just for the record, I have CDO. It is like OCD but all of the letters are in alphabetical order... AS THEY SHOULD BE!
Comment by Sean (Slimchance) Chester on April 24, 2012 at 15:02 Yeah, I've been diagnosed with MDD (multiple disorder disorder), so you're in good company ;) That "spot" looks great! I'm down at Clansthal this weekend and looking to kite the south side of the clansthal rocks - it blows proper cross and we have got it really good once already. The Reo remains elusive for Mongoose but he's happy on the F-Series for now - banging strapless off a board he got off Bean (Creased the last one about a week ago). I've had a few strapless sesions already but still not comfortable...I'm sure you're banging it properly - we must get together for a session!
Comment by Dean Bottcher on April 24, 2012 at 13:28 I'm already in counselling for ADD, OCD and ODD (oppositional defiant disorder.) I can't add IBF (incredibly bad friend) to the list as it does not rhyme.
I heard about your downwinder before you even got on the water. I need to scan in the BBM group. I got the BBM message from you guys that the wind was on. It went something like "7's and 11's wind just kicked in. We started pumping up and in 20mins it was happening. We had been waiting all morning. So thanks for that. Glad you had a good one. Has that Mongoose got his Reo yet??
I have been scoping a spot down your side. Not telling otherwise you'll go without me. Looks like it can get really good. I am sure you have already hit it.
Will be with the family this weekend so if Palms is on, then so am I.
Here's a pic of that spot,
Later Slim,
Proud to be ADD,
Dean.
