Port Elizabeth is situated along the Sunshine Coast in South Africa, approximately 700km North of Cape Town. South Africa’s Sunshine Coast, the Coega region, offers some of the greatest Kitesurfing destinations in the Eastern Cape.
From Kenton to Port Elizabeth to Jeffrey’s Bay the wind conditions are great all year round.
Jeffreys Bay is nestled just south of Port Elizabeth, approximately 50km south of the city, and is a world renowned surfing destination.

Kite lesson 101:
We offer a 3 stage course, which introduces you to kitesports in general. The kite lessons will give you a comprehensive knowledge of all the equipment. We will build your confidence to fly a kite anywhere you can on dirt, snow or water!
A beginners kite lesson is 2 hours. This includes an instructor giving you the theoretical and practical kite knowledge while flying a small trainer foil kite. In the lesson we discuss kite basics such as choosing the right kite, kite setup, understanding the wind window, kite safety, kite control, and basic kite flying skills.
Cost: R495 pp/2h
Requirements: 12 - 25 knots, East or South or West Winds.
No experience needed, must be able to swim, bring sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. Once a beginner can prove to complete kite flying 101 (i.e.: Launching, landing, upwind walking and kite control) they can progress onto kite lesson 201.
Kite lesson 201:
The second level kite lesson is 2 hours and it includes an instructor giving you the theoretical and practical kite knowledge while flying a 4 line inflatable Flexifoil Kitesurf Kite with harness on the beach. The lesson covers kite setup, safety, control, basic kite flying skills on the beach and tips to get you setup for Kitesurfing.
Cost: R495 pp/2h
Requirements: 12 - 25 knots, East or South or West Winds.
Kite lesson 101 needed or experience with land power kites, must be able to swim, bring sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. Once a beginner can prove to complete kite flying 201 (i.e.: Launching, landing, upwind walking, kite control, kite safety, sand skiing and small jumps) they can progress onto kite lesson 301.
Kite lesson 301:
The advanced lesson is 2 hours and it includes an instructor giving you the theoretical and practical kite knowledge while flying a 4 line inflatable Flexifoil kite with harness in the water. We cover basic downwind and upwind body dragging, first steps on how to get going with a board, and possibly trying to ride on the board for the first time. (depends on how you have progressed)

We offer tours and can arrange lessons from Cannon Rocks to St Francis Bay.
Kite lesson 401:
This is a half-day course = 4 hours and it covers kite lessons 101, 201 and 301. Once a beginner can prove to complete kite flying 101 & 201 (i.e.: Launching, landing, upwind walking, kite control, kite safety, sand skiing and small jumps) they can progress onto kite lesson 301.
Cost: R900 pp/4h
Requirements:
No experience needed, must be able to swim, bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and water!

Half-Day full gear rent:
This gives you half a day of Kitesurfing pleasure = 4 hours and includes Kite, harness, board and wetsuit.
