Kitesports Kitesurfing wave trip to Swartriet

What a great day! It all started with the guys meeting up at KITESPORTS Eden on the Bay with a morning coffee. One last check on the location, and everyone was excited to head out and kite at a new wave spot.

The drive to Swartriet was easy and with a 25+ kts tailwind the drive seemed to go a lot quicker!! The landscape at Swartriet is spectacular, and once standing on the beach everyone was amazed at the perfect wave riding conditions.

After everyone arrived safely and all the gear was un-packed we had a quick briefing on the location and what to expect from the day. Kites were pumped up in lightening speed and the guys were eager to get on the water. Some advice for anyone wanting to kite Swartriet in the future - make sure that you launch your kite facing the water and keep it low, as standing on the beach can be very gusty. Once out the conditions really switch on and the waves are clean with a great direction for wave riding.

The day turned out to be excellent, with everyone progressing well and some impressive wave riding from all. We had a great trip and thanks to all the guys who joined us and made the day such a success.
