KITESPORTS

Kitesurfing, kiteboarding shop & school. Lessons - Durban, PE, J-Bay, Cape Town

The Flexifoil Kitesports community of Port Elizabeth took the two hour trip to Cannon Rocks, hopeful of good winds and good weather. Our prayers were answered and we were blessed with the most awesome wind and conditions.

The fun started on Friday with an 18 - 25 knot westerly. Within 30 minutes everybody was on the water ripping it up, even our local wind connoisseur, John, enjoyed the awesome conditions. After lunch Bruce and John had a "bee in their bonnet", and dragged the whole Flexi crew to Bushman’s River Mouth for a bit of flat water. Man, was that a lot of fun Jono, Matthew, John and Bruce showed exactly why they were elected as team riders.

Saturday morning and we are once again blessed with good westerly wind of 15-20 knots. Bruce entertained all on the beach with mega kite loops and Caroline (our visitor from Cape Town) showed all exactly how to get yourself out off a hairy situation, after she was hammered by a monster on the back line. Thanks once again to Donald, Jono & Bruce who immediately assisted her to safety.

Unfortunately Sunday greeted us with no wind, and reality slowly settled in, tomorrow is back to work! We left Cannon Rocks with that longing look in every body's eyes, that look that portrayed our longing for that next session at this magnificent spot.

Special thanks to Pieter, Meliza, Desire & Judy for all the arrangements and great food!
Live to fly!
