Durban Surf Carnival presented by Jeep Apparel - 2012

Event Date :  Friday 15th June to Sunday 17th June (3 days)

Venue : New Pier.

Time: All entrants must be on beach by 07h00 on 15 June

Registration evening will take place on Thursday 14th June from 18h00

Venue : DURBAN SURF LIFESAVING CLUB @ North Beach
Time: 18h00 to 21h00

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE LIMITED ENTRIES IN ALL DIVISIONS, WE URGE COMPETITORS TO CONCENTRATE ON A DIVISION OF THEIR STRENGTH, YOU MAY ENTER MORE THAN ONE DIVISION – ONCE DIVISION IS FULL, ANY LATE ENTRIES WILL GO ON STANDBY

This year there are huge prizes in all divisions on offer , cash incentives, lucky draws, clothing packs, all sorts of goodies, not to mention the coveted Carnival Titles, and to add in the SUP and Waveski SA National Titles up for grabs.... The SUP event goes one step forward... WIN this event and you could be in line for your Green Blazer and rep for SA next year!!!

The Competition

LONGBOARDING

The ever-popular contest featuring South Africa’s top longboarders will compete in this open competition in the  following divisions:

Open men, Ladies, Men Over 35  & Men Over 50

Competitors may only enter one division due to time constraints. You are welcome to enter the SUP division as well

STAND UP PADDLESURFING

This event will be the SUPSA sanctioned , South African  Stand up Paddle Surfing Wave Championships

South Africa’s top SUPers  will compete in the following divisions:

Open Men, Open Ladies, Over 45 (Legends) & Juniors

Please note , you do not have to be a member of SUPSA to enter this event however if you want to be considered for the ISA World Team selection, and if you want to be crowned the National Champion, it is in your interest to join - SUPSA affiliation documents will be at the event as will SUPSA reps

Competitors may only enter one division due to time constraints. You are welcome to enter the Longboard division as well

Waveski Surfing

For the Second year Waveski surfing will take place, and various divisions will be contested in this SA Waveski Open Championship.

South Africa’s top Waveski surfers  will compete in the following divisions:

Premier Men & Plate Division

The event is sanctioned by the South African Waveski Surfing Association in conjunction with the KZN Waveski Association

SNAP PHOTOGRAPIC COMPETITON

This competition will take place again and was hugely popular last year.. Details and rules for this event will follow but, once again, a good prize will be on offer from Jeep Apparel

Surfing Clinic

Over the weekend our ever-reliable 'Mad Dog Surfing School' will see Shaun Selman and his team offering Free surfing lessons for anybody interested.
